Full-Time MBA Lunch with Speaker Nikin Shah
Join UNC ’05 alum Nikin Shah as he discusses the investment side of family and private enterprises, in addition to his own experiences as the co-CEO with his family-business Polyzen. Lunch will be provided and held at Kenan-Flagler on Thursday, October 5th at 12:30PM.
Nikin is currently a General Partner and Founder of Front Porch Venture Partners. Front Porch is a hybrid venture fund focused on investing in startups and venture funds across the Southeast. At Front Porch, Nikin leads the healthcare-focused fund and direct investments. Most recently, Nikin was the co-CEO at Polyzen, a family-business started by his father in 1991, where he scaled their medical device contract development and manufacturing platform and led the full sale of the business to Solesis, a biomaterials holding company owned by Altaris private equity and the Michelin company, in November 2022. Nikin previously worked at Medtronic supporting strategic investments and acquisitions and began his career at Deloitte. Nikin was named “40 Under 40” by the Triangle Business Journal in 2020. He holds a BS from UNC-Chapel Hill and MBA from Duke-Fuqua and was raised in North Carolina. He lives in Cary with his wife and three children.
